EXPERIENCES

HTA Science & Engineering personnel have enjoyed working on client assignments that range from less than $1,000 to more than $300, 000 for project periods from hours to three years and up to ten years. The diversity of projects and assignments that have been successfully implemented by HTA include:
- Office building, manufacturing, dam pipe gallery, and residential indoor air quality inspections, assessments, design and implementation of corrective actions pertaining to mold, bacteria, organic and inorganic chemicals, Mercury vapor, Beryllium, etc.
- Natural gas in multi-story office building electrical conduits assessment, designed and implemented emergency corrective action, followed by source identification, design and implementation of corrective action, assistance in litigation for financial recovery.
- Final drawings and specifications review for potential moisture intrusion
- Non-destructive leak and moisture intrusion investigations
- Non or minimum destructive mold and bacterial mitigation using HTA developed technology that minimizes collateral structural and appointments damage in occupied buildings.
- Existing and new construction fenestration testing
- Natural gas pipeline location and leak assessments
- Hot black oil spill response plan for major pipeline including marine terminal located in Southern California.
- Dry cleaner solvent soil and groundwater investigation, design, implement corrective action.
- Office building water supply assessment of Legionella contamination
- Residential water supply paint contamination assessment, design and implement corrective action.
- Training diverse personnel on mold, bacteria, pollution prevention, moisture intrusion, etc.
- Residential and office odor assessments
- Property assessments including Building Condition Surveys or Engineering Physical Elements Report, soil and ground water investigations, Phase I and II reports.
- Review and update industrial policy and procedures pertaining to environmental, health and safety management and systems including Spill Prevention, Containment, and Countermeasure Plans, and other environmental plans and programs
- Small dam and impoundment seepage evaluations plus commercial and residential drainage assessments, concrete slab vapor moisture, design, and evaluation.
- Dust collection system design and particulate evaluations within office buildings or laboratories and manufacturing areas.
- Respond to home builders and commercial building owners or building manager’s plea for help that involved inspections, testing, definitions, consultations with occupants, design and implementation of corrective actions related to mold, bacteria, odors, moisture intrusion, and other concerns.
- Asbestos survey, testing and clearances
- Develop new technologies based upon field defined requirements to reduce costs, speed solutions, and avoid occupant inconvenience dealing with amplified mold, suspect bacterial contamination, or moisture intrusion.
HTA offers experience not only from projects for which the Corporation has been contracted to perform, but also from projects successfully completed by the HTA Principals and the staff.
